While Parambrata Chatterjee is on cloud nine following his latest ‘Shonar Pahar’s’ overwhelming success at the box-office, he is all geared up for another release this Friday.
Directed by Fakhrul Arefeen Khan, ‘Bhuban Majhi’ is an Indo-Bangladesh venture and narrates how a simple man was inspired to join the Liberation War in 1971.
Featuring Parambrata and Aparna Ghosh in the lead, ‘Bhuban Majhi’ will release across West Bengal in as many as thirty cinema halls. It has already made rounds across several international film festivals earning accolades after its release in Bangladesh last year.
The film is all about an epic love story of Baul Nohor Majhi (Parambrata) living in Kushtia. A journalist-turned-documentary filmmaker visits Kushtia to shoot for a documentary on Baul culture and there he meets Nohor Baul. Eventually, the journalist finds out Nohor Baul was a freedom fighter who fought in the Liberation War in 1971.
