Bangladesh’s tour of New Zealand has been confirmed after New Zealand’s official website posted the fixture on Tuesday. After 11 years, the Tigers are all set to play a three-match Test series in abroad, reports agencies.
Along with Bangladesh New Zealand are set to play hosts to Asian teams Sri Lanka, India during their 2018-19 home season from December to March. The India tour will be particularly significant given both the men’s and women’s teams will feature in three T20I double-headers in early February after they complete their respective ODI series.
Bangladesh, who played a full series in New Zealand last year will be played 3 ODIs and 3 Tests this time.
The series will start with the ODIs and the matches will be held on 13, 16 and 19 February. The first ODI will take place at McLean Park, the second one at Hagley Oval and the last ODI will be at the University of Otago Ova, Dunedin.
After the ODI series, Bangladesh will play a three-match Test series after 11 years. The first Test will be held on 28th February at the Seddon Park, Hamilton, the second one at Basin Reserve on 8th March and the last one at Hagley Oval on 16 March.
Bangladesh played their first three-match Test series against Pakistan in 2003, then they played against Sri Lanka in 2007 in Sri Lanka and the last one they played against Zimbabwe in 2014-15 at home.
